Bioremediation Greywater using Vermifilter

Vermifilter is a greywater waste treatment by utilizing the symbiosis of earthworms with microbes. more efficient, simple in design, and easy to maintain. The purpose this study was determine effect vermibed material on concentration BOD5, NH3-N, DO using vermifilter. used four vermifilter reactors (VF) filtration media for gravel, coconut fiber, rough sand, vermibed. Reactor VF1 uses mixture mustard greens cabbage, VF2 sawdust, VF3 banana stalk, VF4 cow dung. This provides results that removal BOD5 90%, NH3-N 98%, increase 164%; FV2 92%, 185%; FV3 94.5% 98.5%, increased 156%; FV4 decreased 93%, 99%, 270%. had no significant BOD, DO.
